What a month!

Wow where to begin... Lets start by going back to the beginning of October when I wake up to find water dripping from our closet. I wont bore you with all the details so long story short the neighbors above us were leaking down on us from their shower which this just happened to happen the same week that the renters were moving in. So $3400 dollars later (thank goodness for insurance) the water damage is fixed and the renters are all moved in. I have to admit I was a little sad to be moving from mine and Nick's "first place" together. sniff sniff. Moving on. That weekend that we moved out we also had a trip to Nashville to get ready for PLUS we had not closed on our house yet so Nick's bro and SIL were generous enough to provide a roof over our heads until we closed. Now on to our trip!
Nick and I took my mom to Nashville for my moms birthday.. Why Nashville you ask? Well for one its Nick's favorite city in the whole world plus I have never been and always wanted to and my mom didn't care where we went so Nashville here we come. Here is a little break down of our trip
My mom and I went to Menopause the Musical before Nick got into town. (you're welcome Nick) My mom loved it more than I did but maybe that's because it was a little more age appropriate :)
Why not pose with a statue if you can
Andrew Jackson's home. He was the 7th president of the United States for all you non history buffs
Freaky looking bug at AJ's home. Hope there are none of these little guys in Utah
Soy bean field. Where the cotton was planted back in AJ's day
Not sure how much scaring this tattered guy is doing
Farmers Market

Humungous Pear!
We felt like were in a re-enactment of "The Birds"
The city of music
Um they spelled it wrong. It was Pouring down rain in case you were wondering
Live music in every bar
Crystal Kelly Evan did you know you are on a book?
They were holding American Idol try outs that day so we couldn't explore the Ryaman :( We did see a few people come out holding their golden tickets. I had no idea just how much American Idol is staged!
What's Nashville without a cowboy boot shop?

Pancake Pantry... Melt in your mouth deliciousness. We sampled Cinnamon and Spice, Sweet potato, and Caribbean goodness.

Jack's BBQ. Nick's all time fav
My mom loves her kitties
Boiled peanuts. Mmmmm
We got the privilege of spending one more night because our plane was cancelled due to inclement weather. All in all it was a great trip and i wouldn't mind visiting again one day. I know Nick sure wouldn't mind!

A few weeks ago Nick, myself, Mike and Amie all got to go to Lady Antebellum at the new Rail event center in SL. I really liked the venue so if a band you like it going I suggest you go! They put on a great show!

Last but not leas. In my next post I will be your personal tour guide of our new house!
